I've been struggling with awful brain fog for months. Started doing 10 mins of gentle stretching every morning before I even check my phone, and honestly the difference has been noticeable. Not a miracle cure but it's something!

This is so helpful, thank you! I'm going to try this tomorrow. Do you do specific stretches or just whatever feels good?
Priya K. · 1h ago
I do the same thing! The gentle neck rolls from the stretch library on here are brilliant first thing. Really helps clear the cobwebs.

Just started doing this too — mostly the seated cat-cow and some shoulder rolls. Nothing intense, just enough to wake my body up gently. Definitely recommend!

I know it sounds silly to most people, but I haven't been able to walk to my local shops in weeks. Today was a lower pain day and I did it. Had to sit down twice but I did it. Just wanted to share with people who actually get why this matters.
James T. · ME/CFS
That's not silly at all — that's HUGE! Well done, honestly. Those small wins are everything. Be proud of yourself today.

This made my day. I totally understand — I cried the first time I managed to cook a full meal again. Celebrate every single step forward!

My GP is suggesting I switch because the amitriptyline is making me so drowsy during the day. Has anyone made this switch? How was the transition? Really nervous about changing meds that are at least partially working.
David R. · Chronic Migraine
I did this switch last year! The first 2 weeks were a bit rough with nausea, but after that I felt so much better. Way less drowsy and the pain relief was actually similar for me. Good luck whatever you decide!
Sarah M. · 5h ago
I'd suggest using the check-in tracker here to log your symptoms during the transition. That way you've got actual data to show your GP at the follow-up. Really helped me when I switched meds.

Had a family gathering yesterday and got the classic “well you look fine to me!” comments. I just don't have the energy to explain invisible illness to people anymore. Does anyone else just... stop trying?
Emma L. · Endometriosis
I feel this so much. I've started just saying “thanks, it's the concealer” and changing the subject. You don't owe anyone an explanation. Your energy is precious — save it for yourself.
Priya K. · 7h ago
Honestly, some people will never get it and that's okay. The people in this community get it though. You're not alone in this. Sending you a gentle hug.
